Solidarity, cohesion and social support in the international context

The purpose of the International Conference is to acquire a series of new skills and knowledge of the event participants and to bring added value in the following directions:
- acquiring knowledge on solidarity and cohesion;
- the ability to identify the opportunities offered by cooperation programs for increasing social cohesion;
- the ability to identify the advantages of social support;
- proactive attitude towards European values and ideas.
In other words, our event aims to provide, from the perspective of Social Sciences, an innovative and multidisciplinary academic framework, through which social support’s manifestation forms can be identified. We also want to highlight their role in generating solidarity between people and ensuring the cohesion of groups and how both these elements underpin the development of sustainable strategies for a cohesive society.
Prospective authors are kindly encouraged to contribute to and help shape the conference through submissions of their research abstracts, papers and e-posters. Also, high quality research contributions describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work in all areas of Applied Social Science are cordially invited for presentation at the conference. The conference solicits contributions of abstracts, papers and e-posters that address themes and topics of the conference.
The conference is organised in 3 panels.

Panels
Panel 1: Investigating the social support network
This panel aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Social Science. It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of Social Science.
Panel 2: Cohesive society and regional development
The panel aims to emphasize theoretical and practical aspects of the two-way link between social cohesion and regional development. From this point of view, a special attention is paid equally to the EU policies and strategies objective of inclusive growth and to the European Social Model, with the aims to highlight the cohesive society influence on the regional development and the impact of EU Cohesion Policy on the constituent elements of social cohesion.
Panel 3: Cross-Border Cooperation – tool for increasing social cohesion
The panel aims to explore both the theoretical and practical dimension of the multifaceted benefits of cross-border cooperation as a tool for increasing social cohesion.
Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) truly represents a powerful instrument for increasing social cohesion, being supported by European policies, institutions, as well as by specific cross-border funds and programs. Thus, by encouraging collaboration between neighbouring regions, cross-border initiatives can address common challenges, share resources and, last but not least, promote mutual understanding. The solutions presented in the panel can thus bring a series of improvements at the cross-border level, at the economic level, in social integration and cultural exchanges, in the links between communities, etc., all of which can be vectors for increasing social cohesion.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS & DEADLINES
● The official language of the conference: English and Romanian
● We invite proposals from various disciplines including political sciences, psychology, education, European studies and international relations, history, philosophy, sociology, law, anthropology, linguistics, etc.
● The conference will be organized in a hybrid mode (physical and online). Presentations will be delivered also online. Participation through the online channel will be possible based on invitation of the organizing committee.
● Registration fees: There is no participation fee for the event.
● Accommodation and meals during the conference will be paid by the organizers. There are no available funds for travel costs.
● The organizers cover the costs of print and publish all the materials of the conference including the volume comprising the articles.
● Submission: The abstracts (max. 300 words, followed by 5 keywords) will be submitted for review in electronic MS Word format. Please provide the full names, affiliation and e-mail addresses of all authors.
Poster exhibition
The poster exhibition is open to all registered delegates.
The exact dimensions of the posters must be:
85 cm width X 120 cm height (33,46 inches X 47,24 inches).
Suggestions for poster presentations.
- Provide a clear overview of your research work;
- Be a starting point in order to initiate and stimulate discussions.
Structure
A poster has the same structure as a scientific article and offers the following information:
- Title
- Authors (with contact details)
- Abstract
- Introduction
- Objectives
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- Tables and figures
- References
Your poster should:
Content
Poster content should be as clear and concise as possible:
- Use short sentences. Rephrase in order to condense the text whenever it is possible.
- Use diagrams, tables, charts or figures if that’s appropriate.
- Check spelling and grammar.
Format
The following characteristics are recommended:
- Use an A0 size format
- Most frequently the font type is Times New Roman or Arial
- The font size of the title is at least 80 points, bold face
- The font size of the section headers is at least 32 points, bold face
- The font size of the body of the poster (abstract, introduction, objectives, methods, results and conclusions) is between 18 and 26 points
- It is common to include your institution logo on the left corner of the poster.
Please Note:
- All posters should be printed before the Conference. There will not be poster printing facilities on site.
● Publication:
The articles will be evaluated by the scientific committee of the conference.
The presented papers will benefit from publication either in:
- the Conference Proceedings Volume, “Solidarity, cohesion and social support in the international context”.
- Eurolimes Journal, indexed in international databases (EBSCO, CEEOL, ProQuest, IndexCopernicus), in English or French.
- International Journal of Education and Psychology in the Community, indexed in international databases (EBSCO, CEEOL, ProQuest, ERIH+), in English.

Important deadlines
May 2, 2025 – deadline for application form (title, abstracts of papers and short biography of authors – in English)
May 10, 2025 – selection of the participants, distribution of participants in the panels and final confirmation of participants;
